Chandrakant was a Graduate Research Assistant from 2022 to 2024. His interests include behavioral development economics, most notably the economics of discrimination. He pursued a B. Tech. in Petrochemical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, followed by an MBA in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya.

Chandrakant is currently a CIDER Predoctoral Research Fellow in the S.C Johnson College of Business working with Joanna Upton and John Hoddinott.
